TURNING IDEAS INTO REALITIES
Some of the projects we have worked on the past.
Project Profiles
Workforce Housing Lodge
Accelerated Construction Technologies was approached, by a large multi-national construction company, specializing in large in situ oil recovery projects to design and construct an 800 room lodge. This structure was designed to house the construction workers and subsequent operational personnel. The project required three different styles of rooms, full kitchen and dining facilities, common area amenities such as a fitness center, theater, bistro, and a full sports lounge. The ACT in-house design and engineering team worked closely with the customer’s management team to create a design that was both aesthetically pleasing and very functional for the required task. This project was designed with full high speed internet, and on-demand movies in every room. The project was completed on budget and ahead of schedule, allowing the customer to begin the project construction six weeks before the original schedule.
Airport Lodge
Working in conjunction with a small northern city, its local airport authority, and area businesses, Accelerated Construction Technologies created an airport lodge that was to be used for area business travelers and for construction projects in the area. This two-story 288 bed lodge was constructed with all required amenities including a kitchen/restaurant area and fitness facility. The lodge required a large conference room, allowing the facility to be used for large meetings and small to medium size trade shows, as well as a large atrium with a 25 foot ceiling and guest check in amenities. The project was constructed in two phases in order to open quickly and with minimum disruption to the guests. Both Phases were opened on time and on budget.
Net Zero Builds
Commercial buildings in the greater Phoenix metropolitan areas save money with the JEP System by reducing cooling costs when outdoor temperatures soar in the summer months. JEP building components (patented design improvements) are cost competitive compared to traditional materials with no additional costs incurred to the home buyer. A JEP engineered building envelope offers unsurpassed thermal efficiency (60 to 80 percent), and is an investment, with no diminishing returns. Significant thermal efficiency of JEP enclosures scales down both the size & cost of solar electric systems needed to heat and cool a home economically achieving net zero ratings.
Blast Proof Structures
A need was identified for blast proof office buildings. Within the blast zone of a major industrial complex a worker lunch room and locker building were required to ensure the safety of the workers. These 8 unit specialized buildings required the highest pressure resistance allowed for a wooden structure, at 1.5 psi, and were constructed with blast proof windows and doors. A specialized air filtration system for the climate controlled package was required to further protect any building occupants from the deadly gases that could be present in an explosion or an inadvertent release from the plant. This special custom project was finished on schedule, despite the need for special order equipment and it was on budget.
